Hello McMinnville!

I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for Mayor! Having engaged in countless conversations with many of you over the past several months, I’ve been deeply moved by your concerns about safety, better livability, and community strength. Your unwavering support has inspired me to step into this leadership role and guide our city toward a brighter future.

My decision to run for Mayor is rooted in my steadfast belief in our community's potential. As a lifelong resident and owner of multiple businesses, including working in banking management, I have firsthand experience with both the challenges and successes that shape our town. I am also the owner and lead Interior Designer of Morris Design. In addition to my professional experience, my dedication stems from years of involvement as an active volunteer and community advocate. I am driven by my leadership, integrity, and a sincere desire to improve the lives of all McMinnville residents and businesses.

My husband, Michael "Mike" Morris, and I are lifelong residents of Mac. Our journey together began as high school sweethearts at McMinnville High School, and our family has since grown to include our daughter, son-in-law, and two cherished grandchildren. We owned and operated Morris Carpet Cleaning for more than 35 years, providing employment opportunities to local individuals. Our active participation in community events has deepened our connection to the town we love. We were truly honored to receive the "2023 Volunteer of the Year" Award from the McMinnville Downtown Association!

Last year, I established the McMinnville Community Task Force, which has been instrumental in driving positive change for safety, security, and connectivity in our town. I lead a dedicated group of 25 community leaders, who have worked tirelessly to support local businesses, residents, and our city's schools, parks and police department. While we have made significant progress in enhancing livability, there is still much more to be done.
